Kyiv planlegger å tilføre over 1,5 GW termisk produksjonskapasitet

Kyiv planlegger å bygge over 1,5 GW med ny termisk produksjonskapasitet, blant annet gjennom reservekokerier.

Hovedpunkter

  • Kyiv planlegger over 1,5 GW med ny termisk produksjonskapasitet.
  • En del av kapasiteten skal komme fra
  • Bestiller er Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development in Kyiv Region og Kyiv City State Administration.

Mykola Kalashnyk inspected construction sites in Kyiv together with city officials, the customer and contractors. The visit covered the protection of critical infrastructure and backup boiler houses, through which Kyiv plans to add more than 1.5 GW of thermal generation capacity. Completion of the works is currently estimated at around two months, while equipment installation at individual sites is scheduled for the end of December. Considerable construction, grid connections, equipment installation and tuning, and commissioning still remain.

During the visit, they also inspected a facility transferred from state to municipal ownership that is expected soon to become an additional source of power for part of the city. The customer is the Agency for Restoration and Infrastructure Development in Kyiv Region together with the Kyiv City State Administration.

Several measures are being considered or implemented to accelerate the work, including alternative connection points to gas networks, parallel execution of construction and gas works, additional crews and work in multiple shifts. The Ministry and the restoration agency are addressing dependent issues jointly with the city and the gas distribution organization. The ministry's team remains in constant coordination with the customer, city authorities and contractors on each site and is helping resolve grid connection, design approval and equipment supply issues. Proposed amendments to the regulatory framework are also being developed to speed up similar projects across Ukraine.

Slik beskriver ukrainske kilder det

Ukrainian reporting emphasizes resilience and the protection of critical infrastructure, including reserve boiler houses and shelters. The coverage highlights coordination between government agencies, Kyiv authorities, contractors and the gas distribution organization, as well as practical steps to accelerate construction and strengthen heating supply.

Bakgrunn

Kyiv has equipped around 4,400 shelters since the beginning of the full-scale war. An inspected facility transferred from state to municipal ownership is expected soon to become an additional power source for part of the city. Significant construction, grid connection, equipment installation and commissioning work remains at the project sites.
